About Jennifer Roose

Jennifer Roose began dancing at the early age of 5 at Palm Springs Dance Studio. At the age of 8 Jennifer transferred to Motions Dance Studio in Palm Desert, California where she participated in Dance Express, Motions Dance Force, and Desert Dance Machine; these groups traveled to many competitions and performances. Jennifer also starred as the main roll “Jill” in the play Jack and the Bean Stalk in 1995 and spent her free time modeling for Mary Helens, Palm Desert Town Center and Palm Springs Life Magazine. Jennifer was accepted onto the Award Winning Palm Desert High School Varsity Dance Team as a freshman in high school. Jennifer won an award at the state championships for her outstanding solo performance in the improve division as her Dance Team took fifth place in the nation for the high school team dance.
Roose attended college where she studied musical theatre, stage makeup design, liberal studies, and psychology at California State University, Long Beach.
When Jennifer returned home to La Quinta, California, she began working for the Viceroy Hotel where she took on the catering and sales manager position while selling her clothing she designed in the Estrella Spa at the Viceroy. Jennifer coordinated events through Viceroy for Palm Springs Life (40 under 40), Daimler Chrysler, Domino Magazine, Gap, and many celebrities. As Alumni, she was invited to teach at Palm Desert High School as the Dance Director. Jennifer volunteered her time to coach Dance Productions Team for two years. Jennifer was given an award from her students as the most inspirational teacher at Palm Desert High School. Jennifer prides herself in giving all she can to her students and her community.
Jennifer now is a member of the Xavier faculty where she co-directs the dance academy with Julie Ann Remirez and coaches the Xavier Dance Team.
Jennifer has trained with the Los Angeles Dance Force (LADF) training under many famous dancers, such as: Laura Fremont, Scott Hislop, Leslie Scott, Terri Best, Malaya, Eddie Garcia, Ryan Heffington, Bill Prudich, Enrique Lugo, JT Horenstein, Miguel Zarate and Joelle Martinec. Jennifer has also danced with Ron Basada, John Lehrer, Danity Kane members Shannon Bex , and Aubrey O’Day. When Jennifer is not dancing, you may find her teaching yoga, designing clothes or coordinating private events. Jennifer Roose has a passion and a desire to spread her love of the arts throughout her community.
