Palm Desert, CA — Xavier College Preparatory High School proudly announces the appointment of Eevet Edens as its new Executive Director of Advancement, marking a significant step forward as the school approaches its 20th anniversary and continues to expand its impact across the Coachella Valley.
A proven leader in both nonprofit and community-driven work, Edens brings extensive experience in marketing, fundraising, and organizational leadership. Her career has been defined by a clear mission: to serve the community and create meaningful access and opportunity for all. She previously served as Executive Director of the Desert Cancer Foundation and the YMCA, where she led transformative initiatives that strengthened community partnerships, expanded access to essential services, and delivered measurable impact for families across the region.
Edens’ work has consistently focused on ensuring that individuals and families have the resources, support, and opportunities needed to thrive. Her return to the Coachella Valley reflects both a personal and professional commitment to advancing that work at the Coachella Valley's only Catholic High School.
“I am grateful for the many opportunities I have had to serve organizations and support local communities,” said Edens. “I am delighted to now bring that experience to Xavier College Prep. I deeply admire the faith, commitment, and dedication it takes to educate the whole child, nurturing intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. I am honored to collaborate with faculty, staff, families, and benefactors to expand access to this exceptional education and help shape Xavier’s future.”
Edens’ connection to Catholic education is both professional and personal. As a parent, she experienced firsthand the power of a faith-based education rooted in academic excellence, character formation, and community, an experience that aligns seamlessly with Xavier’s mission.
“As we enter our 20th year, I am confident that, alongside Ms. Edens, we will continue to set the bar for education in the Coachella Valley. Through her stewardship, we will ensure that Xavier College Prep remains a place of welcoming and community for all that desire something more for their child's education,” Mark Campbell, President, Xavier College Preparatory.
With a dynamic combination of leadership, faith, and a deep commitment to serve, Edens is poised to elevate Xavier’s advancement efforts, ensuring that students and families across the Coachella Valley have access to the life-changing opportunities a Xavier education provides.

STUDENTS EARN BRONZE AT 2026 RIVERSIDE COUNTY SCIENCE & ENGINEERING FAIR
We are so proud of our Saints - Donya, Sommer & Lily who earned Bronze at the 2026 Riverside County Science and Engineering Fair.
In their project, “Signal Snatchers: What Materials Weaken a Wi-Fi Signal?”, the team investigated how common materials affect Wi-Fi signal strength. Using a Wi-Fi router and an iPhone to measure signal strength in dBm, they tested materials including aluminum foil, glass, cardboard, plastic, wood, concrete, and even the human body.
Their results showed that metallic materials and the human body have the greatest impact on weakening Wi-Fi signals, providing valuable insight into how everyday surroundings can affect connectivity.
