Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening (RYLA) is an intensive training program for community youth leaders. Young people chosen for their leadership potential attend an all-expenses-paid seminar, weekend camp to discuss leadership skills and to learn those skills through practice and to bring back to better their communities. Two Xavier students, Jillian Barbato (Junior) and Reina Rover (Sophomore), were honored by being selected by the CIF Southern Section for the All Girls Water Polo Team Division 5. Only three students for the Coachella Valley received the honor of being in any of the teams. Savannah Hampton from La Quinta High School made the time in Division 4. All these athletes, demonstrated great tenacity and determination throughout the season, it is a well deserved honor.
Music Center - 111 Southern California High School students named as semifinalists in the Music Center's 29th Annual Spotlight Program
We are proud to announce that Haley Varela, senior Xavier student, is a semifinalist in The Music Center's 29th Annual Spotlight Program as a singer.
Xavier College Preparatory High School had a rare opportunity to honor the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation at its 11th Annual Companions' Dinner. It was a special occasion to thank the foundation for donating the initial 96 acres, on which the valley's only Jesuit high school is built. Since the school opened in 2006, the Berger Foundation has continued to support its mission of forming compassionate leaders as Xavier has graduated 721 students to date.
Two months after finishing his sophomore high school football season, Xavier Prep wide receiver and defensive back Fabrice Voyne will play in one more game before he becomes a junior on a slightly larger stage than the Saints' football field.
