St. Peter Claver

Feast Day: September 6

Patron saint of slaves, Columbia, and of African Americans. Claver was known as the miracle worker of Cartagena. He baptized over 300,000 African slaves that had been brought to America, and he took pride in being “the slave of the slaves forever”.
